Well, things have been quite quiet on YRIHF since the spam was quelled (at least for now).
Plus the relationship between myself and my co-editor, Brian Hansen has been quite sanguine. All of which makes for good friendship, but boring journalism.
So, I come to break the truce, and start a little action.
How about this name for the Obama Presidency: The Vapor President. Here I play on the "Teflon" President, Ronald Reagan and also the software development concept of vaporware.
So, I guess I'm saying, I expected a big hurrah of problems solved on Day One, but the feeling I'm getting is more like a meeting at the White House where the C-in-C says "hey, anyone have any ideas...I'm dying out here". |

How about the Harvard Law Review Editor,
Wicked Smart,
Smarter-than-anyone-else-in-the-room President"?
Meanwhile, I disagree with both your premise, and
you presumed intention.
I'm very happy with the things that have been happening.
There are several very positive changes that are being
made. Our friends in foreign countries are having an
easier time of it, and I've been feeling a bit of shared
nationalistic pride now and again. Very refreshing.
I infer your intention is to attach a belittling meme onto
President Obama. In my view, you might do better to
find phrases of "praise" (as above), and hope and help
him live up to them. We may never have a chance this
good again to get our country's finances, civil liberties,
energy policy, and foreign affairs into some kind of
sustainable balance.
I'm frankly, though, looking forward to the day when Obama
is not on the front page. Surely, there's got to be a day
where something happens, and Obama took a nap.
He should make sure he gets enough sleep. |
